I was really going to give this flash drive a good review. Even with a USB 2.0 port, it's a pretty decent speed, and the ring is very practical for taking it everywhere on a key ring.
Except that, after barely four months of use, it began not to be recognised by Windows, first at random, then suddenly during a transfer, and then systematically. The system analysis tool didn't detect any errors, and the key was recognised again: a few seconds, a minute, no more. The problem is identical on several computers, with Windows 10 or 11.
Of course, there's no way of requesting a return as the key still contains personal data, and as it's impossible to reformat it as it will suddenly cease to be recognised along the way, it's a done deal: it's no longer usable. Luckily I bought it when it was in action.
I'll give it two stars just for the four months of service it has given me, but unfortunately I can't recommend it for that...
Pro
Correct transfer speed
Very practical ring
Contra
No longer recognised by the system after four months
Rated USB 3.2 suggests a throughput of around 90-100 MB/s... In plain English: Measured 8-15 MB/s write, 80-90 MB/s read Just good for archiving, obviously, but useful all the same given its price.
