LG Presto Laser Beamer
When it comes to beamers, you always have to ask yourself: What do I want? What is important to me and what is my budget? If the answer is: Incredibly great colors, extreme sharpness (in the positive sense), a web system with which you can access apps, long brightness-stable runtime and a budget of around CHF 3000.00, then the Presto must be in the near selection! 3000 Stutz is but a big chunk...correct, but what you get for the Presto, is amazing and with equivalent beamers well and easily another 1000-2000 francs expensive. In addition, one must make the lamp cost calculation, which is void with a laser projector. All this is on all tests of the LG also nachlesbar, therefore now the personal impressions, which are not always in a test:
The tests don't lie about the sharpness, color splendor and luminosity. The LG really makes an incredibly detailed, bright and clear picture. After the first 30 or so hours with the projector, after which the initial euphoria may have faded, I can say that this device really does throw an incredible picture. You can criticise the black level, which is typically worse than with LCD, but the black level alone doesn't tell you everything about a picture. Even more important is the contrast, which is good on the LG with the right settings, and even fantastic with HDR material! Insert: Try HDR and fall in love! To help, you can buy a contrast screen et voila, great black. The beamer is also really quiet! Coming from a JVC DLA, which is barely audible and wouldn't say the LG is noticeably louder. In addition, the lowest laser mode (quietest) is already enough to project a really bright image.
Some 'negative' points should not be concealed:
- Installation on the ceiling not quite easy, since no horizontal correction.
- Black level as described above

Super device, great price-performance ratio! But: Absolutely unacceptable power plug solution EU>CH: cover plate can no longer be mounted, the attractive "everything with you" solution and especially the incomparable design suffers. The subjective light output is massively below the expected 2500 lumens. The connection of Apple devices is also very weak and unworthy of the price.

+ Bright
+ Fast startup, and only 4 seconds when switching off
+ Successful operating system, great remote control
+ Good picture
+ even the speakers are more than token, sufficient for portable use
- not loud, but noise partly disturbing when sitting right next to it
- thread for ceiling mount not centered around the center of gravity, makes adjustment a bit more complicated
- Great "vacuum cleaner cable" that completely disappears if you want - until you mount the adapter included by Digitec. This makes the plug too thick and impossible to stow in case. Man-o-man, Digitec, this is crap
