For me the only possible mouse there: - Long Bat...

For me the only possible mouse there:
    - Long battery life
    - Wireless receiver can be stowed away in the mouse (mobility)
    - Freewheeling scroll wheel
    - The most important and a few more mouse buttons.

    Actually ne super mouse,
unfortunately not constructed for the much clicking computer scientist everyday life for the following reasons.

    - There are models with a "free-wheeling" scroll wheel, i.e. after stopping it automatically goes back about 2 or 3 lines. Annoying and a matter of luck, which mouse you get.
    - Micro switches stick relatively fast after much use:
Result: no more contact, i.e. no click is triggered.
    - Micro switch spring weaken
Result: One click triggers double click.

For these reasons, these mice (and also one of the predecessor mice with free-running wheel (MX something) keep me no longer than two years. sometimes less or a little more, then also ends the warranty.

Logitech would have to improve massively in the area and since they are the mouse specialists, this should actually be known for a long time. But since nothing is done about it, I think it is also a moneymaking in the quality area, which is carried out on the hump of the consumer.
For these reasons I give only 2 points.

Otherwise a very good mouse. Therefore, I will - despite the 2 points - buy one again (because the micro switch has arrived at the double click) ;-)

After not even 2 years, the first...

After not even 2 years, the microswitches are already causing problems. Even the right mouse button! If you hold the button down, it almost takes on a life of its own (like a loose contact), and a single click often triggers a double click.

    purchased this product

Good for working, but has weaknesses

I have tested the mouse now 1 month and used it to work on the laptop.
I'm a little disappointed, I thought at first the sensor is spinning around and the mouse is somehow broken. But then I noticed that the sensor is on
the far right outside(see picture). Which is why the mouse movements behave differently than when the sensor is in the middle of the mouse. (Provided you control via the wrist and not with the whole arm).

I have given the mouse to other people to try out, some also had difficulty controlling quickly and accurately. Others didn't notice anything, depending on whether they operated the mouse with their whole arm or just their wrist.

Otherwise, the mouse feels great in the hand and it would also be of very good quality. The sensor works well on almost all surfaces. Unfortunately, it does not meet my expectations because I can no longer rest the heel of my hand in the same place on the table for precise control. I will have to order another one.

Furthermore, the mouse wheel is a bit loose to the left and right and rattles quietly when you make quick left and right movements with the mouse.

However, I am criticizing on a high level. I have tested much worse mice.

    Pro

    • Lies well in the hand
    • Works as it should, with whole arm movements.
    • Even on smooth surfaces.

    Contra

    • Sensor is not in the middle of the mouse, which is why controlling via the wrist becomes imprecise
    • Mouse wheel wobbles a bit.
