The relatively thin and flexible cables of Serial ATA (SATA) technology simplify the installation in the PC considerably and bring a clear improvement of the airflow in the PC case. They also allow the simple connection of external hard disks. Transmission rate up to 6.0 Gbit/s. Backward compatible to SATA 1.5 Gbit/s (SATA I) and 3.0 Gbit/s (SATA II). 4-pole cable with ground wires. Connections: two internal 7pin SATA connectors with snap lock for tighter fit.
