Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene is a commonly used thermoplastic polymer in the industry due to its process stability and physical properties. The recommended bed temperature is between 90 °C and 110 °C. ABS is printed at slightly elevated temperatures to provide additional strength to the final product. ABS can be used with all common FDM or FFF technology 3D desktop printers. After purchasing your filament, it is important to store it properly to maintain quality. Over time, the plastic absorbs moisture from the air, leading to small water bubbles in the filament. These bubbles quickly reach boiling point when heated in the extruder nozzle, damaging the print. The use of desiccants to absorb moisture is highly recommended.
