ABS filament for 3D printers from RS, 1.75 mm. ABS is an extremely strong, impact-resistant material, ideal for printing solid products. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene is a commonly used thermoplastic polymer in the industry due to its process stability and physical properties. The material is also particularly lightweight and durable, making ABS especially suitable for tools, toys, and all kinds of utensils. These filaments are printed at slightly above-average temperatures, resulting in products with particularly high strength. Very high impact resistance, additional strength, stable printing, lightweight and robust, limited warping. The recommended bed temperature is between 90 °C and 110 °C. ABS is printed at slightly elevated temperatures to give the final product additional strength. ABS can be used with all common 3D desktop printers utilizing FDM or FFF technology. After purchasing your filament, it is important to store it properly to maintain quality. Over time, the plastic absorbs moisture from the air, leading to small water bubbles in the filament. These bubbles quickly reach boiling point when heated in the extruder nozzle, damaging the print. The use of desiccants to absorb moisture is highly recommended.
