Unfortunately, we have to do without a 65-inch version of the Bravia 9 on the European market, which is why the focus in this country is on home cinema sizes. The Bravia 9 in 85 inches deserves a special mention, as the QD OLED display alternative in the form of the A95L is only available up to 77 inches...
- High contrast, bright image
- Balanced, broad sound
- Large selection of apps
- Flat design with adjustable feet
- Quite high price
- Only two of the HDMI ports are fully gaming-compatible
- Dazzling brightness values
- Excellent detail resolution
- Very wide viewing angles for LCD
- Factory setting too dark
- Streaky reflections
- High energy requirement for HDR
- Extremely brilliant HDR image
- good sound
- top equipment
- Normal TV picture (SDR) somewhat dark
The Bravia 9 is a stunner, but its price and size make it an option for very few people. The Bravia 8 delivers almost as good a picture quality at a lower brightness level and with smaller screen sizes. For the same price, the Bravia 7, which is also extremely bright, is one size larger and its weaker contrast is only slightly noticeable in bright surroundings.
