Product details

The BRAVIA 8A OLED 4K HDR TV with an aesthetic look - for pictures and sound like in the cinema.

OLED screen, the pinnacle of picture precision, has more than 8 million self-luminous pixels and is now more beautiful than ever before. The XR Contrast Booster further optimises the experience by creating authentic contrasts through a high luminance screen and a thermal diagram - just as the director intended.

Your ears can also enjoy all the creative details, as Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology transforms the screen into a loudspeaker - just like on the cinema screen.

This TV is soundbar compatible and will be the star of your BRAVIA Theatre. 360 Spatial Sound Mapping(1) creates phantom speakers around you in cinema layout and Acoustic Centre Sync(2) transforms the TV into the centre speaker of your set-up. You'll love the integrated, intuitive controls.

The BRAVIA 8A blends unobtrusively into any setting with a premium frameless One Slate design, a 4-position stand and a clutter-free cable management system.

This Google TV(4) offers access to over 10,000 apps and games - and you can even search hands-free with voice control search(5). With Apple AirPlay 2(6) and Chromecast built-in(7), you can display content from your smartphone on the big screen.

This more energy-efficient TV is good for the environment and your electricity bill and features Eco Dashboard 2 for easy energy management. It can save you up to CHF 266 on your electricity bill(9). Parts of the TV are made from our own recycled plastic SORPLAS(8). At the same time, the packaging is smaller and lighter to reduce CO2 emissions(10).

Gamers experience a smooth gaming experience with 4K/120 fps, VRR and ALLM in HDMI 2.1(11), quick access game menu 2, perfectly suited functions for PS5(12) and PS Remote Play(13).

In addition, you can redeem 5 films worth CHF 81.55 in the SONY PICTURES CORE app(14) and 12 months of streaming. From IMAX Enhanced to Dolby Atmos(15): Experience how incredible films can be on the BRAVIA 8A.

The new Bravia 8 OLED delivers high Sony quality, but showed unusual weaknesses when tested. The fact that Sony's Bravia 8 is being offered at a similar price to last year's high-end QD OLED A95L at the time of testing, although the A95L is superior to the Bravia 8 in all respects in terms of the OLED panel and image processor, is likely to make the market launch of the latest Bravia OLED extremely...
