The StarTech ST1000SPEX2 PCIe Gigabit Network Card adds a 10/100/1000 Mbps compatible RJ45 Ethernet port to a PCI Express-enabled client, server, or workstation, providing a convenient addition or replacement network interface. Additionally, the card includes low-profile and half-height mounting brackets for installation in a variety of computer or server chassis, regardless of form factor.

The card supports Gigabit detection and features link and activity LED indicators. It is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3x, and IEEE 802.3ab standards. Furthermore, it supports IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, IEEE 802.1P Layer 2 priority encoding, and IEEE 802.3x duplex flow control. Jumbo frames, full and half-duplex support, as well as the Wake-on-LAN function are also included. The card offers crossover detection and auto-correction (Auto MDI/MDI-X) and comes with a flat/half-height installation bracket.
