The 2-meter long null modem USB serial adapter adds a serial RS-232 DB/DE-9 (female) port to a desktop or laptop via a USB Type-A port. Attach the adapter using the pre-installed and removable slotted D-sub thumb screws to a serial device, or install the included DB-9 nuts for compatibility with other serial peripherals or cables.

The data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter allow for real-time monitoring of connection activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully registered with the desktop or laptop. All LEDs assist in diagnostics and troubleshooting.

The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers are automatically installed for Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and higher, and Linux. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value when the cable is unplugged and reconnected or when the system is restarted.
