FO pigtails with connectors assembled on one end are mainly used for the distribution of multifiber cables through splicing technology. For optimized splice preparation, we use loose-buffered fibers that allow stripping up to 1 m in one step. Fiber pigtails are assembled with connectors without strain relief, as patch panels and splice boxes provide sufficient environmental protection. The quality of the connectors and fibers used greatly affects the insertion loss and reflection performance of the transmission line. Factory-assembled FO pigtails guarantee exceptional optical and mechanical characteristics and a long lifetime due to the use of optimized components and a consistently controlled manufacturing process.
