The Tapo C425 is an outdoor bullet camera from the TP-Link Tapo series that can store recordings on a memory card with a supported capacity of up to 512 GB or on the Tapo Care cloud storage (subscription required). The camera's maximum resolution is 2560 x 1440 px at 25/30 fps (4 MP), and thanks to its 2.1 mm focal length lens, it offers a wide field of view of 134° horizontally. In case visibility is limited, the device features an IR illuminator with a range of up to 15 m, and a built-in siren and light alarm deter unwanted visitors. The camera is also equipped with two-way audio for communication if needed. It is powered by a battery with a lifespan of up to 300 days. The battery life can be extended by using a Tapo solar panel. With an IP66 rating, the camera is suitable for outdoor use. The camera connects to the network via WiFi 802.11b/g/n.

The 300-day battery life is based on TP-Link lab tests with 230 seconds of usage per day. Increased usage of 360 seconds per day reduces the battery life to 180 days. Actual battery life may vary due to device settings, router specifications, usage, and environmental factors.
