Its main applications include connecting monitors and televisions to computers, BluRay players, and similar devices. The connection takes up less space, making it more suitable for portable display devices such as ultrabooks and notebooks, or for two connections on a graphics card. The practical plug design prevents the cable from being pulled out of the DisplayPort socket.
