They started by updating the back panel and shoulder straps. The hidden passport pocket has been made larger and more discreet. Additionally, a luggage pass-through strap has been added. Other external changes include stronger magnets in the carrying handles, updated U-pullers for the zippers, easier-to-use key hooks, updated branding, and the organization of the Velcro and roll straps on the chin strap. Inside the PRVKE, the fleece-lined pockets have been updated by being attached to the access flap of the top compartment and the opening direction has been reversed, so they no longer get in the way when accessing the top compartment from inside the bag.
