Automatic Multi-Switch AMS

The automatic multi-switch AMS is suitable for telephones or other devices without a W-wire, which are connected in a 2-wire configuration via a and b. The W-wire is not required for any connection or switching operations.

Depending on the type, two, three, or four devices can be connected to the AMS. AMS 1/2 allows for the connection of two telephones on one line, while AMS 1/4 enables the connection of three or four telephones on one line. A call can be transferred to another telephone. All telephone devices are connected in parallel to the line while the AMS is idle. When one device is in use, the other devices are automatically locked out, preventing any unwanted eavesdropping.

The integrated standby power supply ensures that all connected devices receive a low standby power supply, even when one telephone is in use. This guarantees that even the most modern fully electronic devices with electronically switched hook switches will function with the AMS.

Additional devices, such as answering machines, can be connected before or after the telephones.
