Reliable and

The phone is designed to be repairable and individual modules can be easily replaced by the user. The Fairphone can keep up well with other mid-range smartphones, even if the hardware is not the very latest, the phone still runs smoothly thanks to Android 10 without bloatware (remember, other mobile phone manufacturers get MONEY for selling software!). This also plays into the price. 499CHF is of course not a bargain, but I see it as an investment in the future. I hope that my device (with bumper) will last at least the 5 years of promised Android updates. Besides, it is self-repairable and can be upgraded if necessary! In my opinion, the module design is long overdue for smartphones; it has long been the standard for desktop PCs and laptops.

Anyone who buys the Fairphone 3(+) is investing in the future in many ways: promotion of fair production chains, hardware designed for longevity, self-repairable, at least 5 years of updates, hardware modules can be upgraded individually.

I think the FP3 does have bloatware: the Google search bar (which cannot be removed) and FP's own advertising app.
