Best Proto-pasta products in the 3D printer filament category

On this page you'll find a ranking of the best Proto-pasta products in this category. To give you a quick overview, we've already ranked the most important information about the products for you.

1. Proto-pasta CFP12805 Original Carbon Fiber PLA Filament PLA 2.85mm 500g Carbon 1pcs.

Protoplant has started a trend with the original Easy Printing Exotic! Protopasta Carbon Fibre PLA is based on the easy printing, high quality Protoplant PLA. Made from high quality dry ingredients and carefully extruded in the Washington factory on the custom built extrusion systems. CFPLA prints are proven to be stiffer with easy processing (often using standard PLA settings) and removal support. Excellent layer adhesion and minimal deformation even without a heated bed make it a great exotic for precision parts. Layering planes disappear with the beautiful matte black finish. Protoplant Carbon also has a slight sheen due to the embedded carbon, making it very photogenic! This filament is slightly more abrasive than standard PLA. Be prepared to replace your nozzle and make adjustments to the first layer after extended use, or upgrade to a wear-resistant nozzle for less maintenance. Usable on most PLA compatible printers such as Lulzbot, Makerbot, FlashForge, Dremel, Ultimaker, Printrbot and many more. In filament form, CFPLA is slightly more brittle than standard PLA and requires special care when handling. Processing is comparable to standard PLA. No heated print bed is required. The process may be less consistent with smaller nozzles and / or Bowden machines. We recommend printing with direct drive systems with 0.6 mm nozzles at temperatures from 210 to 230 °C.

2. Proto-pasta Conductive PLA

Proto Pasta Conductive-PLA Filament is one of the best electrically conductive filaments on the market. Among other things, this filament can be used for printing antistatic components or in the low-voltage range. The electrical conductivity of the filament cannot be compared with copper or other conductors. The use of current-conducting filament is reserved for the experienced user, and any use of the objects under current is expressly at the user's own risk. How conductive is this filament ? The conductivity of printed objects depends on many factors, e.g. the geometry of the part, infill used, layer height etc.. Therefore, the information used here is only a guide and cannot be guaranteed. - Volume resistance of molded plastic (not 3D printed): 15 ohm-cm - Volume resistance of 3D printed parts along the layers (x / y): 30 ohm-cm - Volume resistance of 3D printed parts against the layers (z): 115 ohm-cm - Resistance at a length of 10 cm and 1.75 mm filament: 2-3 kOhm - Resistance of 10 cm length with 2.85 mm filament: 800-1200 ohms Suggested uses Protopasta Conductive PLA is an excellent choice for low-voltage applications, touch sensor projects, and using prints to interact with touchscreens (which require low conductivity, so you can't use your smartphone screen with gloves on). In general, anything you can run through a 1K resistor should be possible with our material (if you design the conductors to be the right size). This will easily run an Arduino at low current if you don't run it much. Experiment with ESD or 3D printed bearings too! Strength and Performance The manufacturer has not done any significant mechanical testing on this product.

3. Proto-pasta HTP21705-CFL Light Gray Carbon PLA Filament PLA 1.75mm 500g Light Gray 1pc.

Proto-Pasta Carbon Fiber Composite HTPLA is a high performance carbon fiber reinforced PLA. This combination enables much stiffer 3D prints with excellent structural strength. The exceptional dimensional stability results from tremendous layer adhesion with very little deformation. The printed objects tolerate ambient temperatures of up to 155 °C (310 ° F). The reduced flexibility makes our carbon fiber HTPLA an ideal material for frames, supports, shells, propellers, tools . in other words, anything that requires high torsional stiffness. It is especially loved by drone builders and RC hobbyists. Finish The embedded carbon content provides a matte finish with a noble shine, which at a layer height of 0.1mm makes the layer structure almost disappear! Hardware Suitable for all PLA-compatible printers that allow third-party filaments. A heatable print bed is recommended, but not mandatory. The printer should be equipped with a nozzle suitable for abrasive material (e.g. stainless steel). Please also consider possible premature wear of line components such as Bowden hoses, drive wheels, nozzles and other components on the filament path. Information can be found in this blog post. Here, nozzle replacement and adjustments are demonstrated on a Prusa MK3. Reduce nozzle wear by minimizing over-extrusion and filling. Printing Proven print settings are based on typical nozzle set points within a broad temperature range. At relatively low print speeds, HTPLA prints well at the lower end of the recommended range. At higher speeds, higher temperatures than specified may be required for consistent extrusion. In some cases, oiling the filament makes the difference between success and failure.

4. Proto-pasta conductive PLA filament

The conductive PLA can be printed with the same settings as "normal" PLA. It is made from Natureworks a conductive carbon.

5. Proto-pasta Magnetic iron

Proto-Pasta magnetic iron PLA in 1.75mm reacts - as the name suggests - to magnets and behaves similar to pure iron, even in terms of rusting! Magnetism opens a new world of practical applications and makes room for fun creations.

The filament is more abrasive than standard PLA. Its use will lead to accelerated nozzle wear. Please use stainless steel or hardened nozzles!

Proto-Pasta magnetic iron PLA is a compound of Nature 4043D PLA and finely ground iron powder. In thread form, it is rather brittle and should be handled with care to avoid breakage.
