The MAKO 5G Dome is a series of high-performance 4x4 MiMo antennas for 617-960/1710-6000 MHz with optional GPS/GNSS and optional 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4 or 6x6 MiMo/Diversity at 2.4/5.0 GHz.
The MAKO 5G Dome consists of up to 11 elements. Four isolated high-performance antenna elements with 617-960/1710-6000 MHz provide MiMo/Diversity for cellular/LTE frequencies. Up to 6 optional dual-band elements with 2.4 and 7.2 GHz support MiMo/Diversity operation for Wi-Fi, and the optional high-performance GPS/GNSS antenna with integrated LNA with 26 dB gain and high-quality filtering offers unparalleled positioning accuracy. None of the antennas in this range require a metallic ground plane, and all provide a high level of performance even when mounted on non-metallic surfaces.
Although the LTE elements are designed for 4x4 MiMo operation, it is possible to use them as 2 pairs of 2x2 MiMo for a router that has 2 SIM cards in a failover configuration (i.e., only one SIM card is active at a time). Since only 2 of the 4 antennas are used for a single SIM card in this configuration, network coverage should be checked to ensure that this use is appropriate.
Instructions for correctly connecting the LTE antennas can be found in the installation manual. Please note: This antenna is not intended for use with a router that has 2 SIM cards for simultaneous or aggregated data operation, as there is not sufficient isolation between the MiMo pairs.
