600.- price increase out of nowhere? Too bad, I had already considered buying it when it was 1250... but it's not worth it.

Digitec doesn't seem to have it in stock anymore but would sell it for 1227 at the moment. What you see here is an offer from another seller. And yes, 1800 is quite a lot for this screen, especially since the new model will be released sometime this summer.
