According to the manufacturer's website, the part makes about <40dB. Is it possible to replace the fans of the rack model with others (I'm thinking of Noctua's)? Or should I keep my hands off the "UPS modding"?

The warranty should be void. In addition, in my opinion, no one should change anything in a UPS if they do not have the appropriate training. So from my side a definite "leave it alone", unless you are a professional and repair the UPSs daily in the company. :-)
