Anyone have any idea about Adaptive Sync? Is this something more global than G- and Free-Sync? Or would I definitely need a G-Sync monitor for my 3080ti? Or is Adaptice Sync simply specified too inaccurately here (i.e. it should say g or free sync)? :)
Basically, these are different technologies that should prevent screen tearing, input lag and similar display errors. These standards were introduced by NVIDIA, AMD, VESA. Adaptive Sync is a solution from VESA. A detailed explanation can be found at https://www.viewsonic.com/library.... According to the supplier and the data sheet (which is probably a bit older), this model is with adaptive sync. As far as I can tell from the most recent manufacturer's information (link: https://www.philips.ch/c-p...) these monitors are now also NVIDIA G-SYNC certified. With your GPU, the monitor should work fine.
