Are the arms/joints long/mobile enough to align the right monitor frontally to one and the left monitor at approx. 45 degrees, protruding sideways over the desk at a left desk corner?

The wall mount will definitely fulfil your wish. I had even turned one screen by almost 180 degrees to be able to look at the other side from the bed.
The quality is also very good. Only the joints could be better because they have to be extremely tightened for a 27" screen so that you can finely adjust the elevation.
