Can I connect my Surface to this screen in the same way without a docking station?

I have connected my Surface Pro 7 to it and it works perfectly;-) I also connect my Surfacebook 2 from the company via USB C and it also works.

If the device is charged via USB-C (not the case with older Surface models), it should work. I have both a MacBook Air with M1 chip and a Windows device (HP Elitebook) in use. Both work flawlessly.
