Can the monitor also be attached to a bracket? I would then want to attach it to the wall with an arm.

Absolutely possible according to the manual. Without the stand, there are 4 screws at the back that can be attached to a wallmount. Check LG's support section for this monitor (manual / userguide) for more info.

I don't think no, it looks bad because of the bracket bush.
But I can't say 100%.
