Dear Community, I would like to ask to be sure because I am not an expert in this area: This product works as a powerline system for WiFi "on its own", so it's not an extension or something similar for which you would have to buy other (devolo) products? And because of the student budget: Are there (almost) equivalent cheaper alternatives for our shared flat? Many thanks for the help!

Helpful answer

This product works without extensions. The prerequisite is simply an existing network (LAN) or a modem/router with LAN cable connection.
Alternatives that are cheaper are also available, e.g. TP-Link TL-WPA4220 KIT (Digitec article: 21254171).
