You can also disable G-Sync specifically for games that have this issue.
In Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> Choose the game and below select "Fixed Refresh" under Monitor Technology. If you still want to prevent screen tearing you can also select "Fast" or "Adaptive" under Vertical sync. 
This way you don't have to disable G-Sync in general.

Answer

This happens when the frame rate fluctuates greatly. If it bothers you, lower the details or limit the FPS upwards to prevent strong fluctuations.
