Does the adapter also work with third party lenses? I am asking specifically for the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II PZD MACRO Lens for Sony. Or is there a possibility to test it briefly (e.g. in the showroom in Zurich)?

Theoretically, that should work. Whether such an expensive adapter for a superzoom is worthwhile remains to be seen. Neither Tamron nor Sony will guarantee the function. You will have to test it yourself. The autofocus will certainly not be as good as with a native lens.
