The Chromecast with Google TV HD works with Samsung TVs, provided that the TV has an HDMI port. It does not matter whether the TV is a Smart TV or not, as long as it has an HDMI port. The Chromecast can also be used with older TVs that do not have Smart TV functions and brings them up to date by integrating Google TV and supporting High Dynamic Range (HDR) up to 1080p.
