Does the phone have an optical zoom? It says telephoto lens 60mm, but Digitec also published a blog saying that the phone doesn't have an optical zoom!

The Xperia lV does not have an optical zoom but a high-resolution digital zoom (up to 180mm).

No, the Sony Xperia 5 IV definitely does not have an optical zoom (e.g. telescopic lens system).
The zoom range is "digital", whereby the image quality is really impressive within a certain range for this. A fixed lens also has the advantage that it can hardly be affected mechanically by vibrations (e.g. when used as a moto or bike navigator) (had problems here with the Huawei P30 Pro, for example). However, no software, no matter how good, can compete with an optical zoom system.

The 60mm lens is the "zoom lens", but this is not variable, unlike that of the Xperia 1 IV.

Digitec is right. The smartphone has no optical zoom but a fixed 60mm equivalent focal length.
