Does the screen layout also work for Apple devices (as opposed to Mamsung)?

You need the "DisplayWidget" software from Asus. Unfortunately, I haven't found any Apple software variants on the Asus website. Maybe you have more luck:

Small additional tip: Use a DisplayPort cable. I couldn't reach the maximum resolution with the HDMI cable.
