Does this model (RE200EU) need an AC adapter, as I received it with an adapter taped to it and I don't want to open the packaging if it does (I won't be able to return it). Thanks

This is probably the Swiss power adapter. If not, no, there is no need for an adapter as the device plugs directly into the electricity.
