Does this monitor have a pivot function? So am I able to turn it around its axis so I have a monitor in portrait mode? and google chrome etc will adjust to the portrait mode?

It does pivot 90 degrees so you can use in portrait mode. Then you have to tell window it is vertical (search how to rotate display).
