I'm looking for a great microphone that shouldn't be too expensive but also doesn't sound like a fruit cup. I don't really have a clue, but this mic seems pretty good. I would need it for school (if homeschooling becomes relevant again) and for gaming, i.e. Discord and voice chat.

Then you're good to go with the Rode NT-Mini! I used it during lockdown for teaching (music lessons) and for meetings. Also good for gaming, Discord, TeamSpeak, Skype or Zoom etc. Like most microphones they seem best when recording. In live chat, the sound quality is related to the transmission, if yours or the other person's connection is bad, it's all crap.
