Is this WD Ultrastar suitable for a normal Windows 10/11 Pro PC, for data, music or video storage? The PC is not always running, so every now and then.
Why so cheap compared to the WD Red CMR HDD?

I have been using it since September 2020 on an Intel-Asus PC with Windows 10, which I shut down almost daily when not in use. It runs flawlessly for data and video, although I have only tried up to max. 4k video. Furthermore, I have had 2 Seagate Iron Wolf Pro in a QNAP NAS in my office since February 2020. The WD Red are actually more suitable for NAS in continuous operation, but were not available in this size at the time. It was particularly important to me to install CMR and not SMR because many colleagues had problems with SMR.
