Has anyone compared this monitor with the Dell U2717D? There are far fewer reports on the Samsung on the net than on the Dell. The opinions on the Dell are sometimes quite contradictory, e.g. with regard to viewing angle stability, black level, etc.

I didn't compare my Samsung before I bought it. But compared to my previous cheap monitors, it's like night and day. After calibrating the screen with the Burosch test images, I suddenly had a viewing experience like never before. I need this monitor primarily for image processing and so far I have nothing to complain about. Sharpness, contrast, black level and viewing angle have remained stable over the years.
I can recommend this Samsung without reservation.
