Hello everyone, I have just moved into a house with a basement where there is no internet connection. The Sunrise Connect 3 Fiber router is on the ground floor. The signal isn't strong enough to reach the basement. I have a small computer cabinet with a switch in a basement room and Ethernet cable in several rooms throughout the house. Is it a good solution to buy an Ubiquiti 6+? Do you have another model to recommend? Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards

Helpful answer

Hi there
I would highly suggest to take the PRO model. I have a 6+ and a 6+ PRO model in operation. The big advantage of the PRO model are the extra antennas which is beneficial if you have many devices or need extra bandwidth. In addition it supports Ubiquiti bluetooth devices & sensors which the 6+ doesn’t.
I hope it helps.
Best
Ben

If it's a single access point, it can do the job. My advice would be to buy several U6s and interface them either with a "cloud ultra" type ubiquiti controller or the PC (or Mac or Linux) version of the controller installed on a computer that is constantly (or often) switched on in the house.
