Question about Sony LA-EA5

Hello ... I'm thinking of switching to a full-frame camera. The only KNACK point is my lenses. I have a Sonny A 77II with the following lenses Sigma 28-135 mm ASP, Sigma 72-200mm 1:2.8 APO DG HSM and a Sigma 70-200mm 1:2.8 APO DG HSM. Does this adapter work for the lenses and with a Sony Alpha 7 IV. Looking forward to feedback.

I can't answer your question so specifically. I do have an A 77II (still), and several Sigma lenses (among others, the 105mm fixed; the 24-70mm; a 100-300 mm) and also older Minolta lenses, all with A bayonet. I chewed on the Sony Alpha ZV-E10 APS-C camera, also as an experiment. All Sigma lenses work perfectly with it. I am happy so far. However, not all the old Minolta lenses work with it. But that is probably not relevant for you anyway. In this respect, I like the adapter because it works well and is not as clunky as some others. What still needs to be checked is whether it would still work reliably with teleconverters (1.4x or 2x).

I had a sony A350 (mount A) and I switched to an A7IV (mount E) and all my lenses passed. In any case, the LA ea5 mounts without a problem.

Hi there. I don't know about these lenses. With the Minolta 500mm f8 catadioptric, nothing passes with LA-EA5 on A7IV.

Hello
I have tested several third-party lenses from Tamron with the adapter.
They work well. Only my Sony 70-300G causes problems.
The a7iV can handle rod driven lenses, the a7III cannot.
I don't have any Sigma HSM lenses, so I couldn't test the compatibility.
compatibility.

Should actually work. The Sony site should tell you if it works on the Sony. With third-party lenses, it also depends on the age. But Sigmas also work for me.
