I also recently bought this hard disc.
I have not noticed any regular noise with this one. It is also barely audible during operation.

When the hard drive is working, you can hear a very quiet knocking/cracking noise, which is normal as these are mechanical HDs. All of mine are actually like this, I have several connected. However, it doesn't bother me and so far all of them are still running perfectly.
