Hello Does the part have a normal mains connection? That I can connect it normally to the power supply and then peer HDMI to my PC?

The power supply works via USB. A 240V / USB adapter is supplied. The short answer: Yes.

Power must be supplied via the usb cable only. Either connected to the usb port of another device or to the mains transformer supplied.
