Hello, I'm currently using the 2nd generation Google Chromecast. My TV is still from 2016 and not so "smart" yet... :-) I mainly use the Chromecast to use certain streaming services. However, as I would like to try out "Apple TV+", I did a bit of research on the internet (I don't have any Apple devices myself) and quickly found out that you actually have to buy an "Apple TV" box. Except that it should also work with the latest Google Chromecast. But now I'm wondering exactly how it works: do you have to install the Apple TV app and then watch films via your smartphone? Or does this work directly via Google TV, where you select and watch your film/series? And what is the difference between the many new Chromecast devices that are available? Thank you very much. Greetings Willis73
Apple TV+ works FINE on Chromecast - NO APPLE TV required.
but.... Chromecasts are buggy as hell - had one for 2 months - SOUND would not work 3/4 of time
Got myself firestick - much better...
Download App on:
Your TV (maybe - depending on OS - works fine on Samsung)
your Chrome box
Amazon Firestick etc.
