I have used the pencil only on ipad with Paperlike. Writng experience: excellent in one word. The Paperlike itself is a bit tricky to apply without bubbles... - but as for the pencil itself - no complaints..

Compared to the first Apple Pencil it has a much better balance. Would recommend getting a paper like screen protector (Ali express) as it’s much better to write or draw with.. it’s still not like writing on paper but much better than without - so overall it’s “ok” and with a paper like screen protector it’s “good”

It is a very different experience writing on ipad compared to paper. It is more fluid. I don’t use paperlike screen protector and I write a lot without any problem. I suggest testing the ipad with apple pencil experience in an apple store before buying them.
