I bought this monitor because I assumed that my Lenovo Yoga 7 (14IAL7) could only be connected via USB-C. I was not sure if it would work. Unfortunately, the connection only works with HDMI cable. I don't understand why this works with other USB-C monitors. Can someone please help me?

So here's how it works for me:
- Loudspeaker connected to screen
- USB-C for laptop

The cable is crucial. Try a Thunderbolt cable. On the Samsung site you can download a programme where you can configure the three connections via software.
Otherwise, I would buy a Satechi ST-SCMA2M docking station and then connect the monitor via HDMI.
