I bought this to add an extra monitor to my computer which has only one HDMI port (used by my primary monitor) and a VGA port. So I got a VGA to HDMI converter for this monitor but I realized the image quality goes only up to 1920p which is too small for this size. Do I need an HDMI splitter to get maximum image quality? Thanks.

Probably so, since VGA can't deliver the performance that HDMI can. Even with an adapter, the output power remains too low.
