Answer

It would connect without any problems in the deco app. Nevertheless, I chose a simple repeater for the garage (e.g. this one: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/tp-link-re300-867-mbits-300-mbits-wlan-repeater-11253593). In my garage it is never less than 8 degrees, and the repeater has been working flawlessly for 2 years.
