I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13 inch, early 2015) with two Thunderbolt 2 ports (up to 20 Gbit/s) and would like to buy and connect an LG UltraFine 32UN880-B monitor at Digitec, which has a DisplayPort port. Is this possible and which cable do I have to buy. Greetings and thanks in advance - Walter

Hello Walter
I bought the following cable for my MacBook Pro (16" 2021) at digitec: Delock Thunderbolt 3 Cable (2 m)

Presumably the USB-C or Thunderbolt cable supplied does the trick.
I have a MacBook Pro 13" M1 2021, also with 2 Thunderbolt ports.
Connection works great via the supplied cable (Thunderbolt / USB-C whatever).
But I have to mention that I am regularly annoyed by the total number of available ports: 2 USB-A ports on the monitor and MacBook, leaving just one USB-C. In my experience, an external hard drive does not work via the display. You can (clearly) expand it with accessories on the MacBook. But I would welcome it if the display had a bit more USB ports.
Charging usually works without problems via the monitor. I'm generally satisfied with my purchase. Today, I would probably take a closer look at the Studio Display. But I don't know if the price-performance ratio is right or if it would have enough connections.

P.S. The different modes are useful. In order not to strain my eyes, I almost always set the monitor to "reading".
