Question about SANDISK Extreme Portable

I have this SanDisk 4 TB eSSD and am interested in the 8 TB version. Is it possible to leave both eSSDs connected to the same laptop USB port via HUB without losing much speed? I would like to install all PC games on both SSDs, but only one SSD would be active during gaming, so the active SSD could utilise the entire capacity. Does anyone have any experience?
