I have two 27'' monitors with 2560 x 1440 pixels and a Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen.5 attached to work on the monitors. (Everything works fine so far) Wanted to ask if it works with my laptop to use this monitor? Unfortunately, the graphics card is only Intel HD Graphics 620.
I run the monitor with exactly this graphics card via USB-C output on the laptop with 5120x1440 @60Hz, i.e. in maximum resolution, and everything runs fine and fast.
System specs (work laptop):
HP zbook 14u G6
I5-8365u @1.6ghz, 4 cores
16gb ram
Intel UHD Graphics 620
USB-C input/output with 3.1 (Thunderbolt 3)
Please keep in mind if you often share your screen: with the 2×27" you can share the individual screens with the "small" resolution. With the 49", you may have to lower the resolution to share (or share individual apps). The monitor can be perfectly divided virtually into different areas, but sharing via e.g. teams always transfers the full resolution (unless you share an app, which is tedious if you want to jump when sharing).
Otherwise, the monitor is a great part, especially if you work a lot with Excel (with many columns), coding, etc., as you can display an enormous width; also good: the monitor recharges the laptop via the USB-C (hope your laptop has a USB-C output), i.e. you only have to have one cable in the laptop and the rest goes into the monitor (mouse, keyboard, headset, etc).
