Question about Google Chromecast with TV HD

I keep having connection interruptions, although the other devices remain connected to the WLAN. The router is in the immediate vicinity and the repeater is not far away. I have interruptions with both connections. Do I have a defective device or does anyone else know about this? Follow-up question to those who use the "Ethernet adapter for Chromecast with Google TV" (10/100 Mbit/s): Would I notice the speed disadvantage vs. WLAN?

It is possible that the Google Chromecast with Google TV connects to the repeater and repeaters are not exactly ideal when it comes to speed. A WLAN mesh system can really be the better solution. In any case, the Ethernet solution is of course also better than WLAN. That also works very well.

However, I would immediately return the HD version and generally only take the 4K version, because the price difference to the HD-only model is far too small.
