Unfortunately, this may very well be the case. Since different devices use different technologies, no pen can work on all devices, as far as I know. Therefore, be sure to check the compatibility list beforehand and, best of all, do a Google search. I have the pen and it does not work on an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S10).
