I would like to use it on my macboopro to improve the wifi reception, which is currently quite poor. is this product compatible with macosx 10.9?

Yes compatible with macOS and Linux in PnP

There is no windows 10 driver, I had to use the one for win7, not very adapted. So for osx10.9 I advise you to check on the manufacturer's website first.
